Meet our Team
Widmer Livery Stables have an excellent team that supports our clients and horses.
Our friendly team provides a wealth of experience and skills for the yard to be run in a professional manner, offering high standard of livery, schooling, training and client / horse management.
Charlotte our Manager has been involved with horses from a young age and has huge enthusiasm and love of horses. She has over 18 years of experience managing and working with horses (NVQ 1&2 in Horse Care and Mgmt). Throughout her career she has competed in British Eventing, British Show jumping and British Dressage on her three horses.
Charlotte not only rides at a high level, but she provides great care, understanding, consideration and management supported by our very conscientious, loyal Grooms. We offer flexible livery packages and transportation to events to support our clients.
Charlotte provides a high standard of training and teaching at Widmer and competes at BD Advanced Medium. She has a classical, sympathetic and practical approach to her training and teaching. She provides quality training using excellent arena craft techniques to bring a natural softness, straightness and impulsion from the mount. She rides in a very still, positive and non-reactive way which encourages great results and nips bad habits in the bud. She prides herself on working with the horse and rider. Listening to the riders, to understand their aims and any issues that need to be addressed. She also brings positivity and a feel-good factor while working towards the scales of training (rhythm, suppleness, contact, impulsion, straightness, collection).
Francesca Jones has owned and supported the running of Widmer for over 19 years. Francesca is a BHSAI who has run her own riding school for over 10 years and now runs Widmer as a quality, professional livery yard. Francesca has successfully completed her Monty Roberts introduction Training Program with Laira Gold and is specialising in problem solving from her foundation work on join up, long reining and ground manners. The language of Equus is fascinating and helps overcome some major issues of boxing, clipping, napping, pawing, door banging, mounting and phobia's that can occur on yards. The Widmer team brings all-round quality support from all disciplines and training.
"Many owners spend 20 years trying to teach their horse English if only we spent a day learning Equus"
