Widmer Livery Stables has an excellent, trustworthy team that supports our clients and horses. Our friendly team provides a wealth of experience and skills for the yard to be run in a professional manner, offering high standard of livery, schooling, training and client / horse management.

Charlotte Perry the Manager has been involved with horses from a young age and has huge knowledge and passion for horses. She has over 23 years of experience managing, teaching and working with horses (NVQ 1&2 in Horse Care and Mgmt). Throughout her career she has competed in British Eventing, British Show jumping and British Dressage at Advanced Medium. She also provides very strong rehabilitation proficiency and is currently studying for a Masters in MSc Animal McTimoney Chiropractor and is a qualified massage therapist (level 7).

Her passion is to work with the horse and rider holistically, supporting us to be the best we can be. Charlotte not only rides, long reins and teaches at a high level, but she provides great care, understanding, consideration and management supported by our very conscientious, loyal Grooms.

Our Owner

Francesca Jones has owned and supported the running of Widmer Livery Stables Buckinghamshire for over 19 years. She is a BHSAI who has run her own riding school for over 10 years and now runs Widmer Livery Stables as a quality, professional livery yard.

She has successfully completed her Monty Roberts introduction Training Program with Laira Gold and is specialising in problem solving from her foundation work on join up, long reining and ground manners. The language of Equus is fascinating and helps overcome some major issues of boxing, clipping, napping, pawing, door banging, mounting and phobia’s that can occur on yards. The Widmer Livery team brings all-round quality support from all disciplines and training.

Personal attention to detail

Widmer gives personal attention to detail. All horses are catered for as individuals. All supplements, medication, medical care, vets, farriers’ attendances are administered at no extra cost. Rugs are adjusted according to weather. Tack is cleaned; horses are groomed well and checked over every day. Manes are pulled and whiskers and feathers trimmed if I require it. My horses are well schooled and cared for.

Great facilities and fantastic staff

Absolutely wonderful location, great facilities and fantastic staff! A friendly and sociable yard offering as much or as little as you want to be involved with. I have a very, very happy horse! The staff are always accommodating, flexible and approachable. You can have confidence in leaving your horse in their care as so many of us owners live in London . Local and very dedicated staff proved this during recent extreme weather conditions. Highly recommended, from a very fussy owner!

Good facilities and Friendly atmosphere

The Hodgemoor Riding Association is pleased to count Widmer Farm Stables in its membership. Widmer’s good facilities, friendly atmosphere and proximity (2 minutes) to excellent off-road hacking in Hodgemoor Woods make the yard popular to horse-owners. It gives good support to the Association by helping to organise fund-raising events such as show jumping and cross country.
